Recently Jeff Collins was invited by the Dutch Cancer Foundation to visit The Netherlands and present to the veterinary community about what K-9 Orthotics & Prosthetics have been doing for cancer patient who require amputation. Not all cancer patient require high-level amputation, K-9 Orthotics & Prosthetics fabricate prosthetic legs to accommodate those who can be amputated at a lower level on the leg to allow a prosthetic leg to be utilize.
Jeff lectured to 63 veterinarians with many orthopedic, neurology and oncology specialists in attendance, they where very surprised to the level of different applications K-9 Orthotics & Prosthetics provide for the canine community and impressed by the quality of craftsmanship and pride K-9 Orthotics & Prosthetics put into each product.
Johan de Vos, DVM De Ottenhorst, Clinic for Companion Animal Medicine & Veterinary Oncology Referral Centre van, had worked with Jeff to produce a prosthetic for one of his cancer patients, from that success Dr. Johan de Vos, arranged, and invited Jeff over to lecture. As well, Dr. Johan had introduced Arjan J. Hodes, from the Hodes Group to assist K-9 Orthotics & Prosthetics with technical adjustment to immediately assist with patient comfort and function level. Arjan Hodes who has two dogs himself will be collaborating with Jeff Collins in a working relationship to enhance the orthotic and prosthetic professional services knowledge to the veterinary community for the betterment for our fury canine friends.
Jeff is pleased and grateful for the opportunity to work with the Europe community to bring what he as been doing here in Canada and the USA over to the canine community in Europe. Having the opportunity to work with the respected Hodes Group, director / CEO will only enhance the level of care the canine community can expect from passionate people like Jeff and Arjan. |
